The primary purpose of any
roof drainage system is to
remove water from roofs
as quickly as possible in a
controlled and predictable way.
Factors including roof outlet
size, shape, appearance
and anticipated drainage
requirements need to be taken
into account. Design is usually
the responsibility of consulting
engineers familiar with the roof
construction, piping systems
and additional functions
intended for particular roofs.
